What are SERVERS?

Servers are huge online realms, created by our official partners, nice people from the Minecraft community themselves. Each one offers its own unique style of entertainment with minigames that allow you to compete with friends (or foes) massive lobbies where other players can hang out and huge, custom-designed worlds to explore.

A no-cost Xbox profile is your entry point into the world of Minecraft online multiplayer

It's easy to connect with our official server partners - just look for the "Servers" tab on the Minecraft game menu on your Windows laptop, computer or tablet, Xbox, Nintendo Switch or PS4. Mundo's Blog Before connecting, be sure to register for your free Xbox profile (no Xbox required!) to obtain an Xbox Gamertag or username. This is your username and profile in the Minecraft universe. Xbox gamers will require a full Xbox Live Gold subscription to access all the online goodness.

Everyone should feel at home in Minecraft! We insist that every player has a free Xbox account before they are able to join the servers. An Xbox profile contains the player's conduct code and, since it's linked to real player details Our support teams are able to swiftly respond to any reports of bad behavior. Chat filters are accessible on the in-game Servers tab. They remove bad words, email addresses and phone numbers to keep your personal information safe and secure.

We also make sure that younger players are safe online with child accounts. Players under 13 years old are unable to play online multiplayer by default. They will not be allowed to join Realms or servers unless parents change their account settings.
