One of the most hilarious films of all-time, Man With a Van is a hilarious sequel to the financial disaster Argyll and Costello Christmas classic, It's a Wonderful Life. With the same sort of inscrutable American innocence that was the hallmark of the previous film Russell Brand plays the self-described Van Man, a man who travels back to modern-day New York City, where the two meet a young woman who works at a theater. Instead of saving her, he instead decides to run off with her to help him save his struggling company... But are they able to save their own marriage and if they do, will Van Man destroy his family and even his own livelihood?

When you think of Michael Caine, you probably think of the actor in his most famous sequences from A Few Good Men, in which he is an evil person who's set to get executed by the authorities. The film Man With a Van, but, Caine plays Robert "Bob" Wurzelbacher, a honest former truck driver who knows what it's like handling people's possessions and of course, the Van Man himself. The film's story progresses and we get to know more about this eccentric man, who has an enjoyable time doing it. He even gets away with his cousin, after being told that authorities would like to check out his trucks. When two moving trucks from across the border decide to make a stop at his home, the situation turn from bad to worse.

Brand portrays the role of the one man who's not afraid of getting his hands dirty literally. After letting two moving companies make a quick exit from his house and he is offered his own truck to do the remainder of the job. The two movers are impressed by his capacity to finish the job quickly and easily, even allowing the two trucks that he uses for the move to violate some laws (one of them relating to the dimensions of the fronts vehicle). If they are willing to help him out, Bob realizes that he has a lot more happening within his own life that he believed. Yet, despite that, he's still committed to helping others and making life better for people around him.

A troubled little girl called Beth has a difficult adjustment to her new surroundings. She's always being targeted however, she's confused about her past experiences and what she's likely to be in the new city. She informs her family of her move from the city to Man With a Van, but they don't believe her tales, and she soon develops a deep fear of the place. The two movers from the previous move help Beth out of a bind when they discover Bob's involvement in the move. They both save Beth and making Beth feel at ease in her new place.

In the end, Bob develops feelings for the local girl. Beth begins working with him, and they end up falling in love. Then the unthinkable happens, which puts their love on the back burner when Bob is laid off from his position at newscorp.

I highly recommend this book if you're someone who's had a similar experience similar to Bob. It's an excellent read due to the fact that it's realistic and real. It's not an uplifting story as most novels are, however, it's packed with excitement and valuable lessons. This isn't your run-of-the-mill moving experience, either. There aren't any cute sidekicks, or numerous twists.

I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys funny situations and enjoys the thrill of a thrilling story. If that's the case, then this is definitely worth reading. My favorite scene was in the moment that Bob and Beth made the decision to live in the van of one of their friends. The whole thing was hilarious and made me laugh numerous times. I would also say that the storyline was catchy. amanwithavanlondon.co.uk didn't encounter any major problems with the plot, and it kept me hooked from beginning to end.

Overall, this was a fun book. It's realistic , and I believe readers would strongly recommend it. People who love to travel or who enjoy adventure and simply want to see how other people deal with life in a humorous kind of manner should definitely read Man With a Van by Paul Therien. It's a short and enjoyable read with a good plot.
